Day 01: |
|
1300m Arrive Kathmandu,Pick up from the
airport/transfer to hotel. Time
permitting, you may want to start
exploring the capital city (local guides
are available). Visit Pashupatinath
temple for evening aarti. In evening,
meet group for dinner& a trip briefing.
Receive your duffle bags, down
jacket&sun cap. |

Day 02: |
|
1300m Kathmandu sightseeing,After
breakfast, we set out for a guided tour
of Kathmandu's holy sites,including
Pashupatinath&Boudanath, before heading
back to hotel for lunch. The afternoon's
spent making final preparations for
trip. Staff members can assist you in
buying/renting any missing gears&you may
check any unnecessary luggage. Group
dinner in evening. |

Day 03: |
|
3750m Kathmandu to Nyalam,We embark on
our journey at 5:00am, stopping in
Dhulikhel (1 hour 30 mins drive) for
breakfast/we do start after breakfast
from Kathmandu itself. After leaving
Dhulikhel road follows valleys of
Sunkosi& Bhotakosi rivers, passing
through lush countryside&dramatic
cliffs. We reach Tibet border in
afternoon, then continue on to either
Zhangmu (2300m) or Nyalam (3750m),
depending on road conditions. Overnight
in a local hotel. |

Day 04:
|
|
750m Nyalam: acclimatizationday gives us
a chance to relax&acclimatize to high
altitude in Nyalam (3750m). It is
important to stay hydrated&extremely
aware of your body's physical condition,
which staff will monitor at all times. |

|
Day 05: |
|
4460m Nyalam to Saga. Stay in Hotel/lodge,Past
Nyalam (4450m)road climbs up to La Lung
(5124m) then drops down before heading
western part of Tibet.Driving'sdifficult,
but stunning views of Himalayas,
particular Shisha Pangma (8012m), more
than make up for rough travel. By late
afternoon we cross Bhramaputra River&a
quick drive brings us to own of Saga. |

Day 06: |
|
4500m Saga to Paryang. Stay in Mud
house/tents,jeeps&trucks roll through
dramatic valleys following various
rivers through grazing lands/yaks&sheep.
The landscape's highlighted by
snowcapped peaks rising out of distant
sand dunes. Many Tibetan nomads&traders
in traditional dress inhabit this area. |

Day 07: |
|
4500m Paryang to Lake Manasarovar. Stay
in Mud house/tents's one of longest
driving days of trip. By late afternoon
drive through green pastures&massive
valleys gives way to first sighting of
Mount Kailash&Lake Manasarovar. We'll
make our way to small village of Hor Chu
on eastern banks of holy lake or drive
all way to western banks, Chiu monastery
for an overnight stay.Lake Manasarovar's
considered holiest of all of Tibet's
many lakes. According to Hindu&Buddhist
cosmology, 4 great rivers of Indian
sub-continent (Brahmaputra, Sutlej,
Ganges,Indus) all flow from its shores.
This day offers a wonderful opportunity
to visit great lake&take in spectacular
views of Mount. Gurula Mandhata (7728m)
to south&Kailash to north. From there
we'll visit Trugo monastery before
heading to Chiu monastery for an
overnight stay. |

Day 08: |
|
4800m Mansarover to Tarchen. Stay at
Hotel. Acclimatization walk/trip to
Astapad.Morning,our staff'll set up
private bathing tent on shores of Lake
Manasarovar for traditional sacred bath
most pilgrims perform before
circumambulating holy mountain. Once so
cleansed, we'll head north towards
Tarchen, a village considered base camp
for Kailash. |

Day 09: |
|
4600m Tirthapuri Hot Spring. Full day
trip. Return to Tarchen for night
halt.Depending on itinerary options, we
can also drive to Trithapuri hot
springs&back to Tarchen (140km). We'll
stay night at Tarchen. |

|
|
Day 10: |
|
5000m Sapta Rishi Caves in Kailash Core.
Full day hike. Back to Tarchen for night
halt,you will have option to rest and
relax in Tarchen or explore Valley of
Gods. Those who wish to do so will drive
into spectacular mountain amphitheatre
at base of Mount Kailash where we will
do part of inner parikarma&where puja
and prayers can be offered given to
Ausaparbat& Nandi Hill. In afternoon we
will return to Tarchen to spend night.
The walk to Core i.e. Saptarishi Caves
also possible to plan if Yatris are
physically fit&done circumambulation
earlier. Nandi Kora is part of it.

Day 11: |
|
4920m Parikrama Day1. Trek to
Dirapuk(4910m), north of Kailash. Total
hiking:15km: 7-8hours:1st day of
trekking around Kailash begins at
Tarpuche. As we make our way along route
we pass numerous chortens (stupas) as
well as the sky burial site of 84
Mahasiddas. We will also take in
wonderful views of cascading creeks,
streaming waterfalls&mighty west face of
Kailash. We will pass the Chukku
monastery&arrive at Dirapuk monastery
about 5 hours later, where a where we
will set up camp for night. |

Day 12: |
|
4780m Parikrama Day2. Trek to Zutul Puk.
Total hike: 18km:7-8 hours:hardest day
of pilgrimage is also holiest. We will
cross a rocky expanse dotted with stone
cairns draped with clothes left as
offerings by pilgrims who have come
before us. After visiting Gaurikunda,
one of holiest sites on trek, further
hiking brings us to ascent up to Dolma-La
pass (5630m). After a nice break at top
of the pass we will head down steep
trail to our eventual campsite at
Zutulpuk monastery (4790m), site of the
cave of miracles where Milarepa
meditated. |

Day 13: |
|
4550m Parikram Day3. Trek to end of
valley. 15km 4-5 hours. Drive to
Manasarovar:On last day of your Kailash
parikrama, a 3 -hour walk brings us to
where river emerges onto Borkha plain.
Our jeeps will be waiting to transport
us to our camp at Lake Mansarovar.

Day 14: |
|
4500m Drive to Paryang or Dongba. Stay
in mudhouse/tents. 340km/10 hours
driving:We will rush back towards
Kathmandu after living in low-oxygen
levels for so many days. |

Day 15: |
|
4460m Drive to Saga. Stay in Hotel:If we
reach Dongba on Day14 then on this day
will be able to make it to Nyalam and
save one more day. |
|
|
|
Day 16: |
|
3750m Drive to Nyalam. Stay in
Lodge.Sometimes due to season’s rush
traffic is controlled. But if we get
early start then we will be in Kathmandu. |
|
|
|
Day 17: |
|
1000m Arrive in Kathmandu by evening.
Stay in Hotel. Farewell banquet.Arriving
back at the hotel in Kathmandu, we will
celebrate our successful trip with a
banquet for all yatris (pilgrims).

Day 18: |
|
1000m Transfer to Airport or extra day
stay in Kathmandu for rest.Option for
early departure or you use your extra
day for Himalayan mountain flight,
Mankamana road trip, or Muktinath

Trip ends officially. Departure for
