Day 01:
Kathmandu |
|
Arrive in Kathmandu. Welcome and
Assistance on arrival at Airport.
Transfer to Hotel. Hotel Check in.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kathmandu. |

Day 02: Kathmandu/ Lukla, trek to
Phakding [2656m] |
|
After an early breakfast at the Hotel,
we are transferred to the Domestic
Airport to connect flight to Lukla,
which is the starting point of our trek.
From the airstrip of Lukla we move
towards north, passing through the
lodges, airline offices and shops,
dropping steeply for a while then
descending to Chablung. Crossing the
stream at Chablung the trail heads
north, descending steeply to Tharo Kosi
and then we climb a bit beyond the Tharo
Kosi bridge and reach to Ghat at 2590m.
From there, crossing a ridge, climbing a
bit above the river we reach to our
destination marked for the day, Phakding.
Overnight stay at the Local Lodge at
Phakding. |

|
Day 03: Phakding to Namche [3420m] |
|
From Phakding, following the Dudh Koshi
valley north and staying 100m above the
river on its west bank move to Zamphuti.
We climb steeply over a rocky ridge and
connect high above the river to Benkar.
We then climb to Chomoa and then to
Monjo, crossing Kyashar Khola. Beyond
Monjo, we enter to the Sagarmatha
National Park. From this point the trail
makes a steep rocky descent to a large
farm and then turn left to cross the
Dudh Koshi, following the west bank.
After making a short distance from the
river we reach to Jorsale. Crossing and
re-crossing the river, we finally make
our way to Namche, at an elevation of
3420m. Overnight stay at the local lodge
at Namche. |

Day 04:
Acclimatisation day in Namche |
|
A day rest is very important at this
point before proceeding higher and
further with our Trek. This
Acclimatisation day provides us with an
enormous opportunity to explore the
famous Namche Bazzar. We can hike to
Thami, visit the villages of Khunde also
can visit the Namche Gompa. Overnight
stay at the local lodge at Namche. |

Day 05: Namche to Tengboche [3870m] |
|
From Namche to reach to Tengboche it
takes us 5 hours. From Sansa the trail
descends to Labisyasa, which is at the
foot of Teshinga, descending more we
reach to Phunki Thanga, a small
settlement. The trail climbs steeply at
first then makes a gradual ascent
through forests, it takes us only two
hours from Phunki Thanga to reach to
Tengboche. Overnight stay at the local
lodge at Tengboche. |

Day 06:
Tengboche to Pheriche [4240m] |
|
We take a short steep descent from
Tengboche to Devuche, which also
consists of a Gompa, to continue with
our trek we pass through many mani walls
in a deep forests of Rhododendrons.
Crossing the Imja Khola we reach to
Pangboche. From Pangboche through
Shomare, Orsho we finally arrive at
Pheriche, which is a labyrinth of walls
and pastures. |

Day 07: Rest day in Pheriche |
|
One more day of acclimatization is
required to us. So we make a second time
halt at Pheriche. We can spend the day
relaxing at our camp if not then can
make a short hike to the small
Nangkartshang Gompa. From where we can
check the good views east to Makalu, the
fifth highest mountain in the world. |

Day 08: Pheriche to Lobuche [4930m] |
|
A day acclimatization helps us to relax
a lot. We feel a little relaxed and
fresh to continue our trek from Pheriche.
Ascending from Pheriche we move to
Phalang Karpo and then crossing a bridge
reach at Duglha. From Dulgha we go
straight up the terminal moraine of the
Khumbu Glacier and turn left from there
to Chukpilhara. The trail from this
point drops a bit and follows the
western side of the valley to Lobuche.

Day 09: Lobuche to Gorak Shep [5184m] |
|
As it is not possible to camp at Kala
Pattar, from Lobuche we climb to Kala
Pattar on the way to Gorak Shep
following the Khumbu Glacier and after
exploring the place move to Gorak Shep
for camping. Kala Pattar climb is one of
the finest parts of the trip. It is a
steep climb of one or two hours up the
grassy slopes west of Gorak Shep. We can
catch the glimpses from Kala Pattar of
Ama Dablam, Makalu, Nuptse, Lhotse and
the black pyramid of Everest. |

Day 10: Everest base camp
[5357m] to Lobuche [4930m] |
|
Making a way through the ice pinnacles
and passing the crevasses of the Khumbu
Glacier, we make our way to the Everest
Base Camp. After an early breakfast we
make an early start as it will take us
hours to reach the camp on the way back
we walk through a higher route, watching
the spectacular view of the Khumbu
icefall and the route to the South Col.
Ending with our day at the camp we
return to Lobuche for the night. |

Day 11: Pangboche |
|
With the exploring of the Everest Base
camp begins our journey of retracing our
steps way back to our starting point.
For today, it is downhill most of the
way. We retrace our steps to Duglha,
passing through the pastures at Dusa, we
descend to Pheriche. Crossing the Khumbu
Khola on a wooden suspension bridge we
follow the Imja Khola to the village of
Pangboche. Overnight stay at Pangboche. |

Day 12: Trek to Tengboche |
|
After breakfast at Pangboche we continue
retracing our way from Pangboche to
Tengboche. We mark an end to our Trek
for the day on arrival to Tengboche.

Day 13: Tengboche to Namche [3450m] |
|
Within 4- 5 hours we reach to Namche
from Tengboche. The trail descends to
Phunki Thanga and then ascends to the
ridge towards Namche Bazzar. On arrival
to Namche Bazzar, we get an opportunity
to buy fake Tibetan Jewellery. We are
moreover towards the end of our trek to
the base camp. We make an overnight stay
at the local lodge at Namche. |

Day 14: Namche to Lukla [2800m] |
|
For the last day of our trek we descend
950m and ascend 250m in total, which
might take us of nearly 7 hours to
complete. The trail descending from
Jorsale at Dudh Koshi reaches at Monjo
and from there to Lukla, both the
beginning and ending point of our trek.
We make an overnight stay at Lukla. |

Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu |
|
After an early breakfast at the
accommodated lodge at Lukla, we are
transferred to the domestic airport to
connect flight to Kathmandu. After
arrival at Kathmandu, transferred to the
Hotel. Rest and overnight stay at the
Hotel. |
|
|
|
Day 16: FULL DAY CITY TOUR |
|
Breakfast at Hotel. Full day
sightseeing.
AM: Visit 2000 years old Buddhist shrine
Swyambhunath, situated on the top of the
hill west of the city the most popular
and instantly recognizable symbols of
Nepal. The temple is colloquially known
as the “Monkey Temple”. There are many
small buildings and shrines down the
hillside behind Swayambhunath. Explore
the colorful Kathmandu Durbar Square-
The Old Royal Palace of Kathmandu,
Temple of living goddess Kumari, the
Jagannath temple, 17th century temple
known for colorfully painted erotic
carvings, Kasthmandap temple.
PM: Visit Pashupatinath temple one of
the most sacred Hindu shrine in the
World. The holy river Bagmati and the
burning ghats and visit one of the
oldest and biggest stupa of Boudhanath,

Day 17: DEPARTURE TO
AIRPORT |
|
AM: Breakfast at Hotel. Free time till
departure to Airport. |
