Day 01:
Kathmandu |
|
Arrive in Kathmandu. Welcome and
Assistance on arrival at Airport.
Transfer to Hotel. Hotel Check in.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kathmandu. |

Day 02: Kathmandu/ Lukla,
trek to Phakding [2656m] |
|
After an early breakfast at the Hotel,
we are transferred to the Domestic
Airport to connect flight to Lukla,
which is the starting point of our trek.
From the airstrip of Lukla we move
towards north, passing through the
lodges, airline offices and shops,
dropping steeply for a while then
descending to Chablung. Crossing the
stream at Chablung the trail heads
north, descending steeply to Tharo Kosi
and then we climb a bit beyond the Tharo
Kosi bridge and reach to Ghat at 2590m.
From there, crossing a ridge, climbing a
bit above the river we reach to our
destination marked for the day, Phakding.

Day 03: Phakding to Namche [3420m] |
|
From Phakding, following the Dudh Koshi
valley north and staying 100m above the
river on its west bank move to Zamphuti.
We climb steeply over a rocky ridge and
connect high above the river to Benkar.
We then climb to Chomoa and then to
Monjo, crossing Kyashar Khola. Beyond
Monjo, we enter to the Sagarmatha
National Park. From this point the trail
makes a steep rocky descent to a large
farm and then turn left to cross the
Dudh Koshi, following the west bank.
After making a short distance from the
river we reach to Jorsale. Crossing and
re-crossing the river, we finally make
our way to Namche, at an elevation of
3420m. Overnight stay at the local lodge
at Namche. |

Day 04:
Acclimatisation day in Namche |
|
A day rest is very important at this
point before proceeding higher and
further with our Trek. This
Acclimatisation day provides us with an
enormous opportunity to explore the
famous Namche Bazzar. We can hike to
Thami, visit the villages of Khunde also
can visit the Namche Gompa. Overnight
stay at the local lodge at Namche. |

Day 05: Namche Bazar To Phortse Thanga
(3680m) |
|
After rest at Namche we are prepared
physically and mentally to proceed
further with our trek. To begin with the
trek from Namche we climb the hill to
Khumjung and then descend to the east of
the village down the broad Valley
leading to the Dudh Koshi. The Gokyo
route turns north, climbing above the
more frequented route to Tengboche and
Everest base camp. The two trails soon
join and continue towards a large
chorten on the ridge top at 3973m. This
ridge descends from Khumbila. Again from
Mong the trail descends in steep
switchbacks down a sandy slope to the
Dudh Koshi. The trail to Everest drops
down the hill but we turn off here and
climb to cross the Mon La before
reaching Phortse Thanga. There are good
camping site at Phortse Thanga.

Day 06:
Phortse Thanga To Dole [4090m] |
|
After breakfast at our camping site we
advance for the next destination. The
trail climbs steeply out of the valley
through rhododendron forests from
Phortse Thanga. The route passing
through a herders’ hut at Tongba climbs
gently to Dole (4090m). Overnight stay
at Dole. |

Day 07: Dole To Machermo [4410m] |
|
The trail becomes steep as we climb
through Gyele on to Lhabarma at 4330m.
We then walk on the banks of the large
stream of Luza at 4340m from here the
trail continues to climb along the side
of the valley, high above the river,
crossing sandy spurs to Machermo at
4410m. Night stay at Machhermo. |

Day 08: Rest Day In Machermo |
|
This will be our second and the last
acclimatization day for the whole of our
Trek. We can spend this day exploring
the surrounding places of Machermo or
just relaxing at the camp. |
|

|
Day 09: Machermo To Gokyo [4750m] |
|
Fresh we begin with our trek for the
day. At the beginning we move to Pangka
from there, drop slightly to a large
cave area known as Nilibuk. We climb a
steep rocky incline into the valley by
the side of the glacier, passing the
first of the holy lakes. We soon arrive
at the second of the lakes, crossing the
path which heads across the glacier to
Cho La - our route to Lobuche and
Everest, later in the trek. The third
lake is known as Dudh Pokhari and on its
eastern shore is the settlement of
Gokyo. Walking by the side of the lake,
the scenery is magnificent with the
summits of Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang
reflected in its emerald green waters.

Day 10: Rest Day – Ascent
Of Gokyo Ri
[5483m] |
|
We take one more day rest at Gokyo. This
rest day provides us the chance to
ascend to Gokyo Ri. The views around
Gokyo are tremendous, for the best view,
we climb Gokyo Ri, the small peak above
the lake. It is a two-hour climb to the
top of the peak, providing a panoramic
view of Cho Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest,
Lhotse, Makalu, Cholatse and Tawachee. |

Day 11: Trek back To Phortse [4690m] |
|
Without spending a night at Thare or
Konar we descend to Phortse in a single
long day. Instead of retracing the
upward route, we follow the eastern side
of the valley to gain different views of
Khumbila. The route to Phortse retraces
the upward journey to Pangka, then turns
east and climbs across the terminal
moraine of the Ngozumpa Glacier to Na.
The trail makes a few ups & downs and
enters to Phortse. |

Day 12: Phortse To Namche Bazar |
|
Within 4- 5 hours we reach to Namche
from Phortse. The trail descends to
Phunki Thanga and then ascends to the
ridge towards Namche Bazzar. On arrival
to Namche Bazzar, we get an opportunity
to buy fake Tibetan Jewellery. We are
moreover towards the end of our trek to
Gokyo. We make an overnight stay at the
local lodge at Namche. |

Day 13: Namche to Lukla [2800m] |
|
For the last day of our trek we descend
950m and ascend 250m in total, which
might take us of nearly 7 hours to
complete. The trail descending from
Jorsale at Dudh Koshi reaches at Monjo
and from there to Lukla, both the
beginning and ending point of our trek.
We make an overnight stay at Lukla. |

Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu |
|
After an early breakfast at the
accommodated lodge at Lukla, we are
transferred to the domestic airport to
connect flight to Kathmandu. After
arrival at Kathmandu, transferred to the
Hotel. Rest and overnight stay at the
Hotel. |
|
|
|
Day 15: FULL DAY CITY TOUR |
|
Breakfast at Hotel. Full day
sightseeing.
AM: Visit 2000 years old Buddhist shrine
Swyambhunath, situated on the top of the
hill west of the city the most popular
and instantly recognizable symbols of
Nepal. The temple is colloquially known
as the “Monkey Temple”. There are many
small buildings and shrines down the
hillside behind Swayambhunath. Explore
the colorful Kathmandu Durbar Square-
The Old Royal Palace of Kathmandu,
Temple of living goddess Kumari, the
Jagannath temple, 17th century temple
known for colorfully painted erotic
carvings, Kasthmandap temple a three
story temple built from a single tree in
12th century.
PM: Visit Pashupatinath temple one of
the most sacred Hindu shrine in the
World. The holy river Bagmati and the
burning ghats and visit one of the
oldest and biggest stupa of Boudhanath,
Overnight stay at the Hotel. |

Day 16: Kathmandu |
|
DEPARTURE TO AIRPORT
AM: Breakfast at Hotel. Free time till
departure to Airport. |
