This national park is located in the far
western region of Nepal covering an area
of 225 sq. km. The park offers a
challenging yet rewarding experience
unlike any other protected area in
Nepal, because of its remoteness the
area has been kept untouched by the
tourist. The national park is well known
for its religious vale as well as its
natural beauty. Late Khaptad Baba lived
here for 50 years, meditating and
worshiping and became a renowned
spiritual saint. Besides its religious
importance the park is rich for its
natural beauty from where you can see
the Api and Saipal Himalayan ranges.
It has 22 open patches of grasslands,
Khaptad daha (lake), flora consisting
montane sal, pine and alder species,
Fir, Oak, Birch and rhododendron are the
major species found there as well 135
species of flowers are found in the
Khaptad Grasslands, along with medicinal
herbs (about 224 species). The park is
reported to have 226 bird species among
the common are impeyan phesant (dhanphe),
Nepal’s national bird and many types of
partridges, flycatchers, bulbuls,
cuckoos and eagles. The park also
provides habitat for some 20 different
species of animals, common ones
including barking deer, wild boar,
Goral, Leopard, Wild dog and jackal.

Arrive in Kathmandu. Welcome and
Assistance on arrival at Airport.

|

Day 03: Buditola To Shilgadhi (1330m), |

Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer to Domestic
Airport, fly to Nepalgunj. Arrive
Nepalgunj. 4 hrs drive to Buditola.

Day 04:
Trek To Jhigrana |
|
6 hrs drive from Buditola to Shilgadhi
(1330m), the famous city in the region.
Camping. Overnight stay at Silgadhi. |

Day 05: Trek to Jhigrana(2300m) |
|
After breakfast trek to Baglek for about
3 ½ hrs. Lunch at Baglek (2160m). After
lunch 3 ½ hrs trek from Baglek to
Jhigrana (2300m). Camping at Jhigrana. |

Day 06:
Trek to Bukipani |
|
Four hrs trek to Bichpani Dharmashala.
Lunch at Bichpani (3020m). After lunch
two and half hrs trek to Bukipani.

Day 07: Trek to Khaptad (3010m). |
|
Two hrs trek to Khaptad (3010m). After
Lunch, visit Khaptad including Khaptad
Baba’s Ashram and Triveni. Overnight
camping at Khaptad. |

Day 08: Khaptad |
|
Full day exploring of Khaptad including
visit to the tower, Museum, Khaptad
Danda and Patan. Camping and overnight
stay at Khaptad National Park. |

Day 09: Trek back to Jhigrana |
|
Four hrs. Trek from Khaptad to Bichpani
(3050m), Lunch in Bichpani. After lunch
two and half hrs trek to Jhigrana.

Day 10: Trek to Shilgadi |
|
Trek to Uditola for about 4hrs, Lunch in
Uditola (1790 m). After lunch one hrs
trek to Shilgadi. Camping at Shilgadi
(1330m). |

Day 11: Mahendranagar |
|
Drive to Mahendra Nagar, which is about
7 hrs. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

|
Day 12: Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve |
|
Breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast
drive to Suklaphanta Wildlife Reserve.
SWR offers a variety of experience.
Forests; dominated by Sal trees, Khair-
Sisso forests found along the river side
areas, streams, lakes and several large
“Phantas” (grasslands), from which the
park derives its name, comprise the
habitat of the reserve. Full day safari

Day 13: Bardiya National Park |
|
AM: Leisure at Shuklaphanta Wild Life
Reserve. After lunch, 4 hrs drive to
Bardiya National park. Arrive
Thakurdwara discover Tharu Life and
Culture. Bardiya National Park has
immense amount of accumulated plants,
animals and ecosystem. With the first
step on the Park one can sense hosts of
convivial animals welcoming guests in
their own hospitable manner. Bardiya
National Park, the largest park in the
lowland Terai covering an area of 968 sq
km is enormously the house of more than
30 different mammals, 230 species,
varieties of species of snakes, lizards
and fish, endangered animals such as the
Bengal Tiger, wild elephants, greater
one horned rhinoceros, swamp deer, black
buck, gharial crocodile, marsh mugger
and gigantic dolphin, threatened birds
such as Bengal Florican, Lesser Florican
and Sarus Crane. Tharus residing near
the Park are the local and original
habitants of this virgin land and are
mainly of two kinds Deshaura and
Dangaura. Amazingly unique tharu culture
and their tradition capture and spell a

Day 14: Bardiya National park |
|
After breakfast, Elephant Safari. After
Lunch, Bird Watching and jungle walk in
Bardiya National park. Jungle Safari on
Elephant’s back supplies a prominent
view of the Park. The park is marked as
bird watcher’s paradise, consisting of
beautiful and colorful bird. 70% of this
vibrant park is embodied with Sal trees
adjusted with a mixture of riverine
forest, grassland and Savannah. Dinner
and O/N stay at Lodge. |

Day 15: Full Day City Tour |
|
AM: Leisure at Bardiya National park.
After lunch, drive to Nepalgunj airport
to connect flight to Kathmandu.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Breakfast at Hotel. Full day
sightseeing.
AM: Visit 2000 years old Buddhist shrine
Swyambhunath, situated on the top of the
hill west of the city the most popular
and instantly recognizable symbols of
Nepal. The temple is colloquially known
as the “Monkey Temple”. There are many
small buildings and shrines down the
hillside behind Swayambhunath. Explore
the colorful Kathmandu Durbar Square-
The Old Royal Palace of Kathmandu,
Temple of living goddess Kumari, the
Jagannath temple, 17th century temple
known for colorfully painted erotic
carvings, Kasthmandap temple a three
story temple built from a single tree in
12th century.
Lunch: 1300hrs- 1400hrs
PM: Patan is often referred to as
Lalitpur, which means “city of beauty”.
Patan has a long Buddhist History and
the four corners of the city are marked
by Stupas erected by the great Buddhist
emperor Ashoka around 250 BCE.
Visit Patan City second largest city of
valley including Royal Palace, Bhimsen
temple, Manga Hiti King Yogaendra
Malla’s Statue, Krishna temple, Taleju
temple 15th century Golden Temple and
Mahaboudha Temple known as temple of
10,000 Buddha, Kumbeshwar Temple.
