Day 01:
Kathmandu |
|
Arrive in Kathmandu. Welcome and
Assistance on arrival at Airport.
Transfer to Hotel. Hotel Check in.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kathmandu. |

Day 02: FLY KATHMANDU TO NEPALGUNJ |
|
After breakfast at the hotel we are
transferred to the Domestic Airport to
connect flight to Nepalgunj. From
Kathmandu it takes us almost ninety
minutes to land at Nepalgunj. It is in
the Terai near the Indian border. We
spend rest of our days exploring the
city. Overnight stay at the hotel. |

Day 03: FLY NEPALGUNJ TO JUMLA [2370m] |
|
Today we are flying to Jumla, from
Nepalgunj. We are first transferred to
the Nepaljung Airport to connect flight
to Jumla. 30 minutes flight from
Nepalgunj, we are at Jumla. Jumla lies
on the banks of Til Khola at 2370m and
is renowned as the highest rice growing
areas in the world. There are few hotels
and local lodges at Jumla. We get an
opportunity to explore the Tila valley
covered with paddy fields. Overnight
stay at the camp. |

Day 04:
JUMLA TO DANPHE LAGNA CAMP
[3500m] |
|
Following, the main street of Jumla
north up the Jugad Valley, we pass
through the red-roofed hospital and then
the college. We gain elevation as we
pass through Sisnamul. Entering a big
forest we soon make our way to a large
horse and sheep pasture, Chere. As we
head towards Dandhe Lagna from Chere our
trail gets steeper. On the way to Danphe
Lagna we are bestowed with an
opportunity to watch the view of Patrasi
Himal and Jagdula Himal. We descending
gently through forests of Spruces and
Rhododendrons arrive to the camping site
at Danphe Lagna. |

Day 05: DANPHE LAGNA CAMP TO CHAUTHA [

|
After breakfast at the camping site we
begin with our trek for the day. We
descend gently alongside the stream to
Tharamara. The descent becomes steeper
through forests to Hiran Duski and then
moves down to Sinja Khola. Nyware to
Kabra, we continue to make a steep climb
to Bhara. Beyond this large village the
trail makes a turn into a big valley
descending to the Chaura Khola. We are
now at the tiny village of Chautha.

Day 06:
CHAUTHA TO DHOTU |
|
30 minutes hike from Chautha, we arrive
at the fields of Chante Chaur (2940m).
We continue climbing from here and reach
to Bhulbule, the National Park entrance
station. Moving above this point, the
trail emerges into an immense tree less
meadow and climbs to an assortment of
Chortens, Cairns atop the Ghurchi Lagna
(3450m). From this point the trail now
following the trade route of Mugu
through the Mandu Valley and reach to a
junction. Following, the direct route to
Rara Lake and then descend to the Jhyari
Khola at 2400m. A steady walk from here
takes us to a small settlement of Dhotu. |

Day 07: DHOTU TO RARA LAKE |
|
We cross a stream and make a steep climb
to Jhyari, a picturesque grove of giant
cedars. We continue climbing through
Cedar forests to a huge meadow a top at
3050m, descending a short distance from
this meadow we are at our destination-
Rara lake. Rara Lake lies within the
Rara National Park. |

Day 08: REST DAY AT RARA |
|
Rara National Park, is Nepal’s smallest
and most scenic national park that
spreads over an area of 106 sq km. The
National Park ascends from 1800m to
4480m forested by conifers. The pivotal
of Rara National Park is the pristine
Rara Lake, which stands high at the self
of 2990m and spreads over 10.8 sq km.
The undisturbed largest lake also
renowned as Mahendra Tal is of oval
shape. This tortoise blue lake is
surrounded by richly forested hills.
Chuchemara Dauda at the elevation of
4087m is the best vantage point to get
the magnificient views of the deep blue
clear lake and highly forested hillside
as well as the snow-capped peaks around
it. More than 500 different kinds of
flowers and herbs including
Rhododendron, the national flower, Black
Juniper, Oak, West Himalayan Spruce and
Himalayan Cypress are found in this
Park. It is the home of 20 different
species of mammals and 214 species of
birds. During winter birders can enjoy
with many migratory birds. In summer
Himalayan flowers surround the lake
creating a colorful landscape. We spend
one whole day being part of the Nature.

Day 09: RARA LAKE TO GOROSINGHA |
|
Instead of retracing our step back to
Jumla we to make our trek a more
pleasant one circuit through a different
route. From the bridge at the western
end of Rara Lake the trail follows the
Khatyar Khola to Majhghatta about 15
minutes from the bridge. Following the
main trail as it drops into the Ghatta
valley we then head towards Gorosingha.
It will take us about 4-5 hours to reach
to Gorosingha from Rara Lake. There are
several excellent campsites along the
Ghatta Khola. Overnight stay at Camp. |

Day 10: GOROSINGHA TO SINJA (2440M) |
|
After breakfast at the camping site we
head towards Sinja from Gorosingha. This
route takes us of 4-5 hours to complete
and heads down the Ghatta Valley from
Gorosingha then follows the Sinja Khola
downstream to Sinja. It is then a short
walk down the fertile valley, to the
village of Sinja, on the banks of the
Sinja Khola. Overnight stay at Camp. |

Day 11: SINJA TO JALJALA CHAUR |
|
From Sinja, crossing the Sinja khola on
a wooden bridge, begins a long trip up
the Dhobi Khola. After passing a few
small villages and a trail to the
temple, the trail crosses back and forth
across the river on a series of log
bridges. The trek through forests of
pines, birches and oaks will lead us to
our camp site at Jaljala Chaur.

Day 12: JALJALA CHAUR TO JUMLA |
|
Climbing through forests to another
meadow just below the ridge at 3510m, we
descend to a few houses at Chauri Khola
(3090m). Then from here we move to Chere
(3010m), the final descent to Jumla is
the reverse through Sisnamul, passing
through the school at Ghumurti then to
Campus and finally to Jumla. Over night
stay at Camp. |

Day 13: JUMLA - NEPALGUNJ |
|
As we are to return to Nepalgunj, this
morning we have our breakfast early and
then go to the Jumla Airport . On
arrival at Nepalgunj we will have a
connecting flight to Kathmandu. By mid
day we arrive at Kathmandu. Arrive
Kathmandu. Hotel Check In. Overnight
stay at the Hotel. |

Day 14: Kathmandu |
|
Breakfast at Hotel. Full day
sightseeing.
AM: Visit 2000 years old Buddhist shrine
Swyambhunath, situated on the top of the
hill west of the city the most popular
and instantly recognizable symbols of
Nepal. The temple is colloquially known
as the “Monkey Temple”. There are many
small buildings and shrines down the
hillside behind Swayambhunath. Explore
the colorful Kathmandu Durbar Square-
The Old Royal Palace of Kathmandu,
Temple of living goddess Kumari, the
Jagannath temple, 17th century temple
known for colorfully painted erotic
carvings, Kasthmandap temple a three
story temple built from a single tree in
12th century.
Lunch: 1300hrs- 1400hrs
PM: Visit Pashupatinath temple one of
the most sacred Hindu shrine in the
World. The holy river Bagmati and the
burning ghats and visit one of the
oldest and biggest stupa of Boudhanath,

Day 15: DEPARTURE TO
AIRPORT |
|
AM: Breakfast at Hotel. Free time till
departure to Airport. |
